I just got back about thirty minutes ago from seeing Tron: Legacy. I'll be honest and say that I probably would have appreciated it more if I were familiar with the original.
Still, it was an overall good experience. SO MUCH SHINY.
I also have a newfound appreciation for Daft Punk, partially because they did the Tron soundtrack (which I liked) and partially because I just watched through Interstella 5555 on youtube today. I'm not sure if their normal music is really my thing, but they're certainly capable of producing stuff that can appeal to me.
In other news, I've procrastinated the whole weekend away and will probably be behind on schoolwork again. It may've been worth it in some respects (I played some StarCraft, read more than half of my newest library book, and paid a visit to the art museum just down the road - students from my college get in for free), but I probably should have at least started my Algorithms or Quantum homework before now. Ideally, I would drop a class and have a slightly more reasonable semester (for once), but I'm legitimately interested in all of them except for the one that I absolutely need to take (Linear Algebra). And even that course isn't so bad - just sort of boring.
Did I mention that I quite enjoy reading Jasper Fforde? Someone on Goodreads described his writings as "beach reads for book nerds," which isn't entirely inaccurate.
