In trying to figure out the percentages of introverts vs. extraverts in the population (I was discussing this with my mom), I did a search on Google that came up with some disparities.

Some websites claimed that extraverts are about 75% of the population and introverts 25%.  Others said that extraverts were only slightly over half.

Is anyone able to shed some light on this?  If not, that's fine; I'm just mildly curious.  (I'm an introvert, btw - more specifically, an INFP, in case anyone actually wanted to know.)
